Get a Word resume you can download
A tailored resume that only exists in the chat transcript is not finished. The workspace writes a Word file so you can open it, edit a line, and send it from your own machine.
Why Word
Most application portals still take a document you upload. A PDF is a finished drawing of a page. Word is a file you can still change: fix a tense, shorten a bullet, restyle a heading. RoleCandid produces Word because the next owner of the file is you.
This page does not claim that every visual detail of the source survives, and it does not claim a particular template. The file is a revision of the resume you supplied, in a format you can open.
How the download happens
Sign in from this site. You return to the RoleCandid conversation. Upload the resume and the job description, or paste the posting as text. Ask for a tailored resume. When the job finishes, the workspace hands back a .docx path you can download.
The tailor step is the product tool. The download record is a published file. Those are two steps. A file that has not passed publish is not a download yet.
What to do with the file
Open it in Word or another editor that shows real paragraphs, not only a preview. Click into a bullet. Type. If the file will not let you edit the body, it is not the file this product is for.
Compare it to the source resume. Dates, employers, schools, and numbers should already have been in that source. If one appeared only in the download, do not send it. Publish will refuse a file that invents those tokens; you should refuse it first.
Limits that stay with you
A scanned resume, a photo of a resume, or a file that was never text may not produce a clean Word body. Complex tables and unusual layouts can still need a manual pass. RoleCandid does not claim that every source becomes a finished document without a look.
You remain responsible for the version you send. The download is something to review, not a promise that the application is ready.
